Carrie E. Martin

CARRIE E. MARTIN (nee Lowe) age 91, beloved wife of the late Bennie C. Martin, Sr.; loving mother of Bennie C. Jr. and the late Mary Gean Martin, Bettie Gean (Atwater) Wilson, and Ezzard C. Martin; devoted grandmother of Demetrius Martin-Atwater and great-grandmother of Andre, Devonte and Tiana; cherished daughter of the late Artis and Bessie Mae (nee Jones); dearest sister of Ray Douglas Jones and the late Ed Lee Jones; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. 

Born on February 19, 1933 in Cottondale, Alabama, Carrie and her family moved to the Cleveland area in 1948. Her Baptist faith remained instrumental through-out her spiritual life. Lovingly devoted to her family, Carrie raised four children and delighted in being a homemaker. Never one to back down from a challenge, she excelled as a horticulturist, growing and nurturing beautiful and healthy-looking gardens. She was also an avid fan of the Browns and Indians. This loving and giving lady passed away on December 19, 2024. The best parts of her life will be cherished and remembered forever, with love.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 10AM at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CEL-EBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND.
