CAROLE ANNE SROUB (née Montville) 86 years old, passed away on October 19, 2020 with her devoted daughter and caregiver, Susan Sroub at her side. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Kevin who passed in 2015. She is survived by her daughters Susan Sroub and Margaret (Peggy) Chevako (nee Sroub) (husband, William), son Brian Sroub (wife, Jennifer, nee Stephen), loving grandchildren Brittany Widner, Robby Widner, James Chevako, Marcella Chevako, Katharine Sroub Martin, and Jackson Sroub. Her other grandson, Wesley Sroub passed in 1987 and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. She was dear sister to her late brother James Montville (Jackie). She tested positive for COVID-19.
Carole graduated from Notre Dame College on the dean’s list and earned her bachelor’s degree in English and History. She relished her role as editor of the literary journal, The Pivot, where she wrote editorials and short stories. She later overcame a series of challenges resulting in many personal triumphs, demonstrating fortitude and perseverance. She liked to say “Let go and let God,” a phrase with particular poignancy at this time.
Recognizing the importance of public health, relatives and friends are invited to attend an outdoor life celebration and prayer service on Thursday October 22, 2020 at 11:00 am at All Souls Cemetery 10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024. The weather is forecast to be perfect. Masks and social distancing will be honored.
