CAROL MONGIACAVELLO (nee Verhovec) age 77, loving mother of Theresa White (husband Darell), Nicholas Iuliani, Sr., Robert Iuliani (wife Doreen), Susan Powell and the late Thomas Lindsay III; devoted grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 19 and great-great- grandmother of 1; cherished daughter of the late Adolph and Jennie (nee Gema) Verhovec; dearest sister of Robert Verhovec, Elida Simonetta (husband Vincent, deceased) and Phyllis Noble (husband Dale); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Carol was born December 23, 1937 in Cleveland and passed away November 7, 2015 at her home in Euclid, where she had lived for the past 15 years. Carol graduated from Collinwood High School and was a homemaker. She was an active member of her church, St. John of the Cross, for the last 17 years. Carol was a great cook and baker; she was known for her pumpkin pie. Carol was faithful to her church and family and will be remembered for her friendly and hospitable nature.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Road, Euclid, OH 44143 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carol at THE CHURCH SATURDAY MORNING 9 – 10 AM. Arrangements by The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills.
