Carol Ann Armenti

CAROL ANN ARMENTI (nee Bonnay) age 85, beloved wife for 62 years of Ronald; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Nora (nee Earley) Bonnay; daughter-in-law of the late Marie and Andy Armenti; dearest sister of Maureen (Paul) Napoli, Brian (Maryanne) and Guyon (Darla) Bonnay, and the late Donna (Norbert, deceased) Lehane, James Bonnay, Marianne (Douglas) Dolinar, and Dale (Regina) Bonnay; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Carol was born on March 4, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio. Carol was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy, class of 1956. After graduation, she worked for different employers until 1964 when she joined the Japan Airlines sales staff in Cleveland.

Her job at Japan Airlines provided Carol with the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, and in 1979, she was named JAL’s first female District Sales Manager. At the time, moving up the corporate ladder for women was very difficult. Carol appreciated the opportunities provided by one of the leaders in the airline industry and after a long and successful career she retired in 1990.

Faith was very important to Carol throughout her life. She was a long-standing parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and loved to volunteer at different church events. Carol particularly enjoyed singing in the choir, and cherished the friendship of her mates in the choir and their talented director.

Carol and her husband, Ron, were partners for over 62 years. Together, they shared a blessed life, traveled the world, and enjoyed the company of family and friends and the companionship of many pampered felines.

On September 14, 2022, Carol passed away surrounded by family. Her determination and feisty spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Thank you to the hospice nurses at Ohio Living, and to all who visited, for supporting Carol and Ron in their hour of need.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, September 19, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 37932 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, OH 44094, at 11AM.

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carol at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
