CAROL A. STOPIAK (nee Hayba) age 88, beloved wife of the late Frank J.; loving mother of Carol Smith (husband Gene), Frank (wife Kelly), Michael (wife Laurie), Alice Martin (husband Stanley), and Julianne Pugh (husband Timothy); devoted grandmother of Michael (wife Caroline), Amanda Ojeda (husband Raymond), Jessica, Jorden, Timothy Pugh (fiancé Olivia Squibbs), Bret Pugh, Adam, and Aaron Martin and great-grandmother of Landon, Dominic and Michael Hank; cherished daughter of the late Paul and Julia (nee Zeglin) Hayba; dearest sister of the late Paul and Gerald Hayba.

Carol was born on February 13, 1931 in Lakewood, OH and passed away on January 30, 2020. She was a resident of Austinburg for 9 years, formerly residing in Maple Heights, where she raised her 5 children and then moved to Madison. Carol was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. She was a beautician and seamstress. Carol loved cooking, baking, sewing, and arts and crafts, especially painting. She enjoyed traveling, and one of her favorite trips was to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California and seeing the parade. Carol will be remembered most as a hardworking, fun loving, social, funny, caring, and devoted woman. She will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church 13623 Rockside Rd., Garfield Hts., OH 44125. Burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carol at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FRIDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
