Carol A. Coghill

CAROL A. COGHILL (nee Burt) age 68, beloved wife for 50 years of Paul; loving mother of Manda Chumita (husband Dennis) and Paul (wife Kristin); devoted grandmother of Marissa, Denny, and Morgan; cherished daughter of the late Dallas and Eleanor (nee Williams) Burt; dearest sister of Janet Baker (husband Roger, M.D.), Martha Manett (husband Bruce) and sister-in-law to William and Diana Coghill; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Carol was born on April 30, 1949 in Cleveland and passed away on February 9, 2018 in Gates Mills. She graduated from Mayfield High School in 1967 and earned college credit at Adrian College. Carol proudly worked as a Library Assistant for Mayfield High School for 25 years. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed Crossword puzzles and knitting. She loved baking, cooking, and always had the best pies. Carol enjoyed bird watching, listening to the Bee Gees, Lionel Richie, and Celine Dion. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Carol was giving, kind, hospitable, and known as everyone’s mom. She was social, outgoing, and had a profound sense of humor. Carol will be dearly missed by all.

Celebration of Life Service TUESDAY February 13, 2018 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carol at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
