CARMEN M. PETO (nee Ferritto) age 91, beloved wife of the late Louis R.; loving mother of Robert (wife Mary) and Tammy Scalish (husband John); devoted grandmother of Anthony Peto (wife Tonya), Marissa Scalish, Jenna Redden (husband Joseph), Angela Peto and great-grandmother of Anthony Jr., Joseph Jr. and Juliette; cherished daughter of the late Marion and Adeline (nee Romano) Ferritto; dearest sister of Grace Ferritto, Dorothy Kletchie (husband Clarence, deceased), Marion “Junior” Ferritto and the late Jeanette Sobonya; dear aunt, great-aunt cousin and friend of many.
Carmen was born on June 1, 1927 in Cleveland and passed away on March 28, 2019. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights and a member of St. Clare Catholic Church since 1958, formerly residing in Cleveland. Carmen graduated from John Adams High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of Sons & Daughters of Italy. Carmen loved gardening, baking, crocheting and dancing the Jitterbug. She was an Indians and Browns fan. No matter what the occasion or where you saw her, Carmen was always impeccably dressed. Carmen will be remembered most as a strong willed and family-oriented woman with a sense of humor. She was friendly, outgoing, social and giving. Carmen will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial Monday, April 1, 2019 at 12 Noon at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carmen at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) MONDAY MORNING 10 AM – 12 Noon.
