CARMELLA FERRITTO (nee Angelone) age 97, beloved wife of the late Dominic; loving mother of Michael J. (wife Isabella) and Donald (wife Frances); devoted grandmother of Nichole Moses (husband Christopher), Joseph, Michael (wife Alexandria), Donny (wife Theresa), and Danielle Petroc (husband Josh) and great-grandmother of Dominic, Sophia, Peyton, Chase, Reagan, Weston, Jaxon, Wyatt, Tyler, and Colten; cherished daughter of the late Gelsomino A. "James" and Filomena (nee DeVito) Angelone; dearest sister of the late Raffaele, Giovanni, Pasquale and Agostino Angelone, Maria Cincione, Giuseppina Ianiro, Silvia Silvestro, Anna Ferritto and Ida Centracchio and sister-in-law of the late Rose and John Sinisgalli; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Carmella was born April 24, 1927 in Campobasso, Italy. She came to the U.S in 1945 where she met her beloved husband, Dominic, and married in 1949. For 50+ years she enjoyed her life residing in Mayfield Heights as a homemaker. She resided for the past two years at the Light of Hearts Villa where she made many treasured friends. She got the most joy out of her role as a grandmother and by spending time with family. She was a skilled bingo, cards, and bocce player and celebrated her home country through her love of Italian music. Carmella is best known for her strong will, big heart, generous spirit, and talent in the kitchen as a cook and baker. Carmella passed away May 30, 2024 and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Carmella to her Treasured Memories Fund. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 8, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 6850 Mayfield Rd., Gates Mills, OH 44040 at 10 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carmella at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 3 - 8 PM.
