Carl Casagrande

CARL F. CASAGRANDE age 85; beloved husband of Gloria J. (Georgia) (nee Walton) and the late Shirley (nee Tiktin); loving brother of the late Tom (wife Ila, deceased), John (wife Willa, deceased), Frank (wife Trudy) and Kay Kovalick (husband George, deceased); devoted uncle of Steve Kovalick (wife Debra), Judy Marino (husband Lou), Patsy Barletta (husband Anthony), Paul (wife Gail), Randy (wife Lynn), and David Casagrande and great-uncle of Steve Kovalick (wife Jacklyn) and Scott Kovalick (wife Caroline); also survived by Gloria’s 7 children, and their spouses, who were a large part of his life, and their many children and grandchildren. U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Carl was born on May 14, 1930 in West Hazelton, Pennsylvania and passed away on December 5, 2015. He was employed for 30 years at Reliance Electric, after 4 years in the Air Force, during the Korean conflict. Carl enjoyed bowling and golf for many years. CNN was his favorite TV program, and he watched it for hours. He was funny and had a dry wit. Carl and Gloria enjoyed some traveling including a cruise to Alaska, Las Vegas, and multiple trips to Florida, that was his favorite, given by Trina and Michael McCandless, who he both loved and respected. And the 3 angels, you know who you are.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Carl’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Life Tribute Service with Military Honors on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 3 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Private interment will take place at a later date. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carl at the FUNERAL HOME on SATURDAY 1-3 PM.
