Burton Carlson

BURTON W. CARLSON, age 97. Beloved husband for 72 years of Gunvor B. (nee Ericsson). Loving father of Burton W., Jr. (wife Carole) of Bloomfield, MI; Ingrid B. Gotrich(deceased) (husband Lennart) and David L. (wife Susan). Devoted grandfather of Burton W., III (wife Gigi), Amy D., Keith D. (wife Kami), Douglas A. (wife Corrine), Britt B. Bevacqua (husband Tim), SFC John D. Hickman, (wife Amanda), and great-grandfather of 9. Cherished brother of the late Lennart (wife Siri). Dear uncle of Elsa Marie Cisar.

Burton built his home in Moreland Hills in 1971. In addition to being a Nationwide Insurance Agent from 1946 to 1989, he was also a soldier for the Salvation Army and a member of the VASA Lodge for 70 years. He enjoyed boating, spending time with his family and working in his yard.

Entombment Knollwood Mausoleum. A celebration of life service will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 4 P.M. at the residence of David and Susan Carlson 19500 Edgecliff Dr. Euclid, with a dinner following the service.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Burton at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd) WEDNESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
