BRYAN E. NEAL, aged 57 years, of Richmond Heights, a chef at various restaurants, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at University Hospitals – Case Medical Center in Cleveland.

Bryan was born on July 7, 1956 in Mentor. He was a 14 year resident of Richmond Heights, previously residing in Cleveland and Painesville. Bryan attended Mentor High School and worked a various restaurants throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening at his home and had voluntarily trained his dog to use for therapy with terminally ill patients. He had volunteered at Painesville Senior Center and was a volunteer at the AIDS Taskforce in Cleveland and for The Living Room. He also was a member of the speakers bureau at both organizations.

Bryan was the beloved son of Sally Uritza (nee Smith) and Delmar “Pickett” Neal, loving long-time companion to Edward Busch, dear brother of Kenneth, Sharon Watson (husband Larry) and Lisa Trexler (husband Erick), cherished uncle and great-uncle. He was preceded in death by his step-father William Uritza.

Contributions in memory of Bryan are suggested to Project Noah, c/o Gateway Animal Clinic, 1819 Abbey Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44113. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Bryan at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) on THURSDAY from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
