Brittany Chagin

BRITTANY MARIE CHAGIN (nee Barnes) age 35, loving mother of Jordan, Declan, and Wesley; cherished daughter of Lore (nee McDermott) and Michael Preisler and Marshall E. and Cynthia Barnes of Utah; dearest sister of Jonathan Barnes; beloved granddaughter of the late Clarence and Dolores McDermott and Esther Barnes; dear niece, cousin and friend of many.

Brittany was born on October 2, 1982 in Cleveland and passed away on May 12, 2018. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 17 years, formerly of Hilliard, Ohio. Brittany attended Hilliard High School and received her Associates of Arts degree at Cuyahoga Community College. She was an arbitrator for Progressive Insurance. Brittany was artistic and loved pottery and photography. She loved traveling, especially cruises, and spending time at the family condo in Myrtle Beach. Brittany traveled to South Carolina to see the solar eclipse in August 2017. She was an avid reader, loved astronomy and enjoyed bargain shopping. Brittany will be remembered most as a passionate and outgoing woman with a dry and intelligent sense of humor. She was a loving and devoted mother and best friend. Brittany was very strong, strong-willed and a fighter. She will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 4:30 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Brittany at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  SATURDAY 1-4:30 PM.
