BRIDGET ANNETTE VANGORDER (nee Lako) age 52 beloved wife for 34 years of James R. Jr.; loving mother of Margaret "Maggie" Small (husband Nicholas), Nicholas (wife Marissa), Zachary, Andrew (wife Eden), and Joshua; devoted nona of Dominick, Mason, Finnigan, Emmalynn, Ollivander, Evelyn, Emery, and Kai; cherished daughter of Larry Lako (Wendy Posipanka) and Carol (nee Burch) Haskew (husband Gary) and daughter-in-law of James R. Sr. (wife Marla "Mary") VanGorder; dearest sister of Barbara Lako, Brian Lako (wife Tressa), and Bradley Lako (wife Deana); treasured sister-in-law of Jay VanGorder, Leslie Dick, Mary McConville, Lisa and Rick Wilson, and Rob VanGorder; dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many. She is survived by her fur babies Zoe, Savanna, Sienna, Romeo, Ellie, Gucci, and Kiara.

Bridget was born July 14, 1971 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on July 5, 2024. She was a 1989 graduate of Willoughby South High School. Bridget grew up in Eastlake but spent her adult years in her home in Willoughby, working as an administrative assistant for University Hospitals. Bridget found enjoyment in gardening, spending time with family and being a baseball mom and nona. Her happy place was Sanibel Island, Florida, and she always felt best when dressed up. Bridget was known for being passionate, forgiving, loving, strong willed, and dedicated to her family and faith. With a giving and selfless heart, she had a passion for caring for animals and the less fortunate.

Celebration of Life Service Monday July 15, 2024 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bridget at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
