Betty Palmer

BETTY PALMER (nee Garis), aged 96 years, passed away Jan. 21, 2010, beloved wife of the late John L. “Jack”, dear mother of J. William (wife Suzanne) and Roy G. (wife Linda), loving grandmother of Dianna Birdwell (husband Jeffrey) and Nelson Palmer, great-grandmother of Payton and Eva Birdwell, step-grandmother of Kirk LaLance (wife Julie) and Rick LaLance (wife Lee Ann), step-great-grandmother of Rich, Coco, Kirk, Adam and Alison, fond sister-in-law to Joanne Folin. Betty met her husband while a student at Penn State University. She enjoyed her family and many friends in Ohio, Vero Beach, FL. (where she wintered for over 20 years) and elsewhere. She was an avid reader, a remarkable cook, and highly skilled at knitting and needlepoint.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
