BETTY LOU (nee Kaminski) BUTTS

A graveside service for Betty Lou Butts, 81, will be on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Brooklyn Hts Cemetery, 4700 Broadview Rd. Mrs. Butts died on Tuesday at Mentor Woods Nursing Home. She was a resident of Mentor on the Lake most recently, previously residing in Euclid and Chardon.

Betty Lou was born on November 9, 1933 in Cleveland. She worked in Production at Sanborn Plastics for 28 years, until she retired. Betty Lou enjoyed watching birds in her yard, traveling and crochet. She also loved taking care of her kids and grandkids. Betty Lou will be remembered for how much she cared for people and her willingness to help anyone and also for her feisty, “spit-fire” nature.

She is survived by her children Donald Blodgett, Jr., Scott Blodgett (wife Gail), D’Ann Camp, Catherine Dickson, Evelyn Neal, Antoinette Vandenberg (husband Cornelis); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; former husband David Butts; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Butts was preceded in death by her parents Antoinette (nee Boettcher) and Edward Kaminski, her former husband Donald Blodgett, Sr. and 8 siblings.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Betty Lou at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY of CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Thursday 5-8 PM.
