Betty J. Blasse

BETTY J. BLASSE (nee Hoge), aged 78 years, beloved wife for 37 years to the late Robert S., dearest mother of Timothy Logan and Linda Kovach (husband Steven), step-mother of Barbara Black (husband John), Karen Singleton, Patricia Comai (husband Thomas) and Margaret Blasse, loving grandmother of Cara and Keith Kovach, Timothy Hebebrand and Teresa Kerr (husband David), step-grandmother of David Black (wife Robyn), Denise Suri (husband Niranjan), and Joseph and Patrick Antenucci, cherished great-grandmother of 6, devoted daughter of the late Anton and Julia (nee Lackner) Hoge.

Mrs. Blasse died August 5, 2013 at University Hospital Case Medical Center in Cleveland. She was born on September 2, 1934 in Cleveland. She was a retired benefits clerk for General Electric in Cleveland. Betty and her late husband served for many years as volunteers for Meals on Wheels in their community. Her hobbies included traveling, bowling, golfing, needlework, knitting, crochet and crossword and Sudoku puzzles. She had been a long-time member of the former St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in South Euclid.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at St. Clare Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private inurnment in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Betty at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on SUNDAY from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
