Beatrice Kluska

Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of the life of Betty Kluska, 88, will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Willoughby. Betty died Saturday at Fairmount Health Center.

Betty was the daughter of Anna Poplarchik and Louis Gavorcik who were married in a double wedding ceremony with Beatrice Poplarchik and Michael Rosinski on June 16, 1925.

Betty was born on April 14, 1926 in PA. After graduating from St. John’s High School in Uniontown, PA, Class of 1944, Betty moved to Cleveland. While working at White Truck and known for her fun-loving nature and selfless spirit, she was given the nickname “Gigs”. On July 3, 1948, she married Thomas Edward Kluska. Together they owned Tom’s Television and Appliance Store and Tom & Betty’s Ansel Road Café. She was a wonderful homemaker. Her daughters remember her as committed, consistent, having a great deal of strength and one who sacrificed for her family to give them the best.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the hardworking care givers at Breckenridge Village and Fairmount Health and Rehabilitation Center that provided their mother with exceptional care and a variety of special events and activities. It was a wonderful home away from home since 2010. They would also like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Team Members. The family has benefited the most by all the people they have met.

Betty is survived by her daughters Beatrice (Alan) Stofcho of Concord OH and Susan (Daniel, retired 1st Sgt.) Sebeck of Belton, TX. She was a wonderful “Grammy” to Brian (Dr. Corrie) Stofcho of Stow OH, Sara (Justin) Bitner of Mayfield OH, Major Daniel (Sarah) Sebeck of Shell Beach, CA and Mary Kathryn (Curt) Mulder of Belding MI and great-grandmother of Rylie Joy,
