BARBARA J. “AUNTIE BABS” DAVIDSON, RN age 83, cherished daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Cargill) Davidson; dearest sister of Elizabeth Stassfurth (husband William, deceased) and the late John C. (wife Lynne, wife Maxine deceased) and Catherine Marshfield (husband Leonard); dear aunt of Bruce Stassfurth (wife Viola), Pamela McCarthy (husband Robert, deceased), Martin Marshfield (wife Teresa), Dale Marshfield (wife Karen), Carolyn James (husband Philip), John Davidson, Jr (wife LuAnn), Debra Wyzard (husband Donald), great aunt of 14 and great-great aunt of 13.
Barbara was born on March 7, 1934 in Cleveland and passed away on February 26, 2018. She was a resident of Richmond Heights since 1966, formerly residing in Cleveland. Barbara was a member of the Church of the Covenant. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1952 and Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing. Barbara was a driving force in establishing the Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing Endowed Scholarship at Cleveland State University. She was the president of the Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association for many years. Barbara was a Registered Nurse and worked as an OB-GYN nurse at Huron Road Hospital. She also worked at General Electric and retired from GE to take care of her mother and father. She was a Browns season ticket holder and an avid Cleveland sports team fan. Barbara was a veracious reader, loved genealogy and was the family historian. She was the matriarch of her family and loved spending time with them. Barbara will be remembered most as a kind and generous woman. She was a tenacious and patient woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Barbara will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Acacia Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Barbara at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 3-7 PM.
