Aurelia Young

AURELIA M. YOUNG (nee Butera) age 77, beloved wife for 30 years of the late Frank; loving mother of Lisa M. Wiener (late husband Eric) and Danene Young-Brnjic (late husband Nick); devoted grandmother of Jessica Wiener (fiancé Beau) and the late Michael Wiener and cherished great-grandmother of Aiden Wiener, Arianna Nelson, and Leo McNeill; cherished daughter of the late Thomas Butera and Phyllis (nee Catania) Kovacs; other loving family and friends.

Aurelia passed away peacefully in Mentor on Sunday, February 13, 2022, with her daughter by her side.

Aurelia was a hard worker in restaurant services her whole life. She enjoyed a 20-year career at Ponderosa where her customers loved her. Aurelia’s last adventure was opening her own restaurant before retiring.

Aurelia loved being a mother and adored her grandchildren so much and spoiled them rotten. When she became a great-grandmother, her whole world changed, and she couldn’t be happier. Aurelia was recently blessed with a third great-grandchild that she now will watch over as his guardian angel.

Aurelia was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining and feeding her family and friends. She will be remembered by her friends and family as having a heart of gold with an infectious humor that made people laugh and smile.

She will be dearly missed by so many in the days ahead.

Contributions may be made in memory of Aurelia to Hospice of the Western Reserve. To safeguard the health of all, services will remain private at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS. Burial will take place at Knollwood.
