AUGUST E. “GUS” KELLER, age 82, beloved husband of the late Kay L. (nee Motter); loving father of Leslie Hollman, Dawn McKinney (husband Richard) and Darryl (wife Carol); devoted grandfather of Amy Lesko, Shannon Boyd (husband Brad), Sarah McKinney, Samantha Loparo (husband Bryant), Brian, Kerstin and great-grandfather of Alaina, Ryan and Caden; cherished son of the late August A. and Bernice (nee Reese); dearest brother of the late Nancy Young, June Keller, Marilyn Seekely, and Lawrence; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.
Gus was a 29 year resident of Russell, previously of Lyndhurst. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the East Gate Masonic Lodge #796 F & AM. Gus was a U.S. Army Veteran. He attended from Cleveland Heights High School and became an electrician for General Motors. Gus enjoyed classic American cars, loved nature, and outdoors. He liked to listen to Jazz and Big Band music. Gus enjoyed vacationing in Lake Chautauqua. He was generous, had a clever wit, very mechanical mind, and he was very patriotic. Gus will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday January 25, 2017 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial following with Military Honors at Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gus at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
