AUDREY J. SPIROS (nee Lachendro) age 90, beloved wife of the late Charles; loving mother of Christopher (wife Kay), Carol Spiros (husband Robert Turman), Diane Gorjanc (husband John), Marc (wife Julie), Maria Joseph (husband Stephen) and David (wife Krista); devoted grandmother of Stefan, Julia, Joseph (wife Kriti), Jessica (partner Adam), Karina (husband Matthew), Nicholas (wife Lauren), Andrew, Rebecca (husband Erik), Sara (husband Stephen), Lucas (partner Taylor), Olivia, Yelena, Clarissa, Micayla, Jenna, Aaron, Will, Hannah, Alyssa, Leyna, and great-grandmother of Arianna, Seth, Naomi, Evelyn, Levi and Felicity; cherished daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (nee Szbatka) Lachendro; dearest sister of Marilyn McClelland (husband Donald, deceased), Frank Lachendro (wife Jayne) and the late Robert Lachendro (wife Mary, deceased); dear aunt, godmother, and great-aunt of many.

Audrey was born on September 21, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and passed away in Cleveland on October 23, 2020. She grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Cleveland in 1951. Audrey played basketball and graduated from High School in Pittsburgh. She completed her RN education in Pittsburgh and moved to Cleveland for work. She worked as a RN for University Hospitals, Doctor’s Hospital, and St. Luke’s Hospital. Audrey was a member of Communion of Saints Parish and Christ the King Church where she volunteered her time. She spent the last three decades of her life serving others at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Meals on Wheels, as a Red Coat at the Cleveland Playhouse and her family. Audrey was an avid reader who enjoyed book clubs. She enjoyed college basketball and politics. Audrey will be remembered most as a giving, hardworking, and strong-willed woman who was devoted to her family and faith. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Audrey to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Communion of Saints Education Fund, Beaumont School Education Fund, or St. Ignatius Education Fund.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11 AM at Communion of Saints Parish St. Ann Catholic Church, 2175 Coventry Rd., Cleveland, OH 44118. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
