Arthur E. Nock Jr., 74, of Willoughby Hills, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., passed away suddenly Sept. 17, 2011, at his Ohio residence.
Arthur was born on January 30, 1937, in Cleveland. He had lived in Willoughby Hills for the past 30 years.
He was a member of the St. Clair Rifle Club, Cuyahoga Falls Walleye Association, Gulf Streamers International and the Elks and Moose Clubs. He also belonged to the Sparkle Patrol Fishing Club, of which he was the Sparkle Commander. Art was very proud of his Irish heritage.
Mr. Nock was the owner/operator of Nock Landscapes. He formerly worked for Osborne Tree Service and Yardmaster. In addition, he was the former superintendent for the Atwood Golf Course and Beechmont Country Club, and constructed serveral golf courses in Florida. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, trap shooter and in his younger days, loved to sky dive, logging 682 jumps. He supported conservation groups such as Ducks Unlimited and Coastal Conservation Association.
Survivors are his wife, Kathleen Marie (Kujava) Nock; son, Donald (Leshea); daughter, Deana (Phil) Monteleone; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kendra Nock and Ashley and Amanda Monteleone; brother, John Nock; and sisters, Coletta Bejma and Jeannette Lewis. He was also the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road, (between Bishop Road and Route 91).
