Arthur Melton

ARTHUR W. MELTON age 86, beloved husband for 32 years of Mary Ann (nee Testa); loving father of Christine Wilson (husband Jesse, deceased), Elaine Pritchett (husband Jerome, deceased), William (wife Lillie, deceased), Trudie Burrell (husband Desmond), Walter, Mattie Minniefield and the late Arthur, Jr. (wife Sheila); devoted grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of many; dearest brother of the late Ellie Martin and Minnie Childress; treasured brother-in-law of Donald and the late Agnes Testa; dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Arthur was born on December 31, 1933 in Marion, Alabama and passed away on January 19, 2020. He was a resident of Cleveland, formerly residing in Alabama. Arthur graduated from Lincoln High School in Alabama and was a machine operator at TRW. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling in the USA, gardening, took pride in his car and loved his hunting dogs. Arthur was a Browns and Cavaliers fan. He will be remembered most as a hardworking and reserved man who was devoted to his church and family and was a great cook. Arthur will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church 10932 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44108. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Arthur at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 3-7 PM and at the CHURCH FRIDAY MORNING 10-11 AM.
