Arlene J. Jones

(nee Saline), the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Evan A. Jones (Art), passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 at the age of 88, at the Cleveland Clinic hospice with her family by her side. The loving mother of Bratenahl resident, Joyce Burke-Jones (Thomas Zung), Janis Jones and Jeanne Jones (Rev. Terrence O’Brien); adoring grandmother to Andrea Carmichael and Caitlin O’Brien. The Chicago native met her husband while attending Northwestern University where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. After raising their family in the Chicago area, they retired splitting their time between Florida and Colorado. Later she moved to Bratenahl, Ohio to be close to her family. Her elegance, warmth and infectious smile radiated to all those around her. A reception of remembrance will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at One Bratenahl Place Penthouse from 6-8 PM. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her WWII Purple Heart recipient husband.
