ARLENE F. ALBRECHT (nee Bicker) age 69, beloved wife of the late Paul Jr.; loving mother of Suzanna Martin (husband Dennis) and Holly Peters (husband Russell); devoted grandmother of Hayden and Logan Martin, Riley, Carrington, and Jett Peters; cherished daughter of the late Wayne and Frances (nee Vanderwal) Bicker; dearest sister of Patricia Koteles (husband William); fond sister-in-law of Thomas and Elaine Albrecht; dear aunt and great-aunt. Survived by her canine companion Zak.
Arlene was born on October 27, 1946 in Cleveland and passed away on October 19, 2016 right after her Cleveland Indians secured a spot in the World Series. She was a resident of Chardon for 5 years, formerly of Twinsburg. Arlene was a member of St. John Lutheran/Christ Lutheran Church for The Deaf in Garfield Heights for over 50 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Dahlia Society of Ohio. Arlene graduated from Lutheran East High School in 1964 and was a banker with National City/PNC Bank. In her free time, Arlene loved scrapbooking, cross stitch, arts and crafts, and gardening and loved the Cleveland Indians. Arlene enjoyed traveling, especially to Venice and Greece, and loved cruising. She will be remembered by family and friends as outgoing, strong-willed and always smiling. Arlene was a social butterfly and never knew a stranger. She will be greatly missed.
Because of her love of the Cleveland Indians, the family would appreciate family and friends to wear Indians gear to the visitation on Sunday. Celebration of Life Service Monday October 24, 2016 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Arlene at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
