Antonio Vitulich

ANTONIO VITULICH, age 92, beloved husband for 54 years of the late Maria “Mimi” (nee Trselic); loving father of Maria Dolores (Tom) Bielek and Annie (Steve) Kerch; devoted grandfather of Peter (Autumn), Alex (Mae), Brandon (Hayley), Michael (Marissa), Courtney (Alex), Sarah (Anthony), and great-grandfather of Mariella; survived by brother Romano and predeceased by 11 siblings. He was a dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Antonio was born March 13, 1933, in Katun, Trviž and emigrated to the United States in 1959. He spent most of his years, until recently, living in Wickliffe, Ohio. Tony was a member of the Istra Club and enjoyed functions at the Slovenian National Home with his family. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where he proudly served as an usher. Tony worked as a machinist at Shaker Numeric Manufacturing for over 30 years before his retirement. Tony was known for his amazing garden full of vegetables and flowers that won awards in Wickliffe for his green thumb. He was known to easily out-party his grandkids and loved to sing and dance, especially to Polka, Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Elvis. He found enjoyment in playing button box and spending time with family. Holidays and sporting events for his grandkids were among his favorite occasions. Tony had a love for learning and was both worldly and a patriot. Despite everything he went through, he had an amazing outlook on life. Anyone could count on him, family or friend, to be a comforting shoulder to lean on. Tony is remembered for his welcoming and peaceful spirit and will be deeply missed.
