Anton Faraguna

ANTON FARAGUNA age 87, passed away on December 17, 2021, which was the day before his birthday in the United States, but actually on his birthday in Croatia; cherished son of the late Anton and Dinka (nee Batelic); dearest brother of Angela Blecic (husband Milan), Lidija Verbanac (husband Ilario), Viktor (wife Milena), Miro, Miranda Casagranda (husband Tony, deceased), and the late Lucija Bastianic (husband Josip, deceased), Marica Miletic (husband Josip, deceased), Milka Terzic (husband Dusan, deceased), Roza Brencic (husband Mate, deceased), Gino (wife Pina, deceased), and Josip (wife Katina, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Anton was born in Croatia on December 18, 1933 and passed away on December 17, 2021, which was the day before his birthday in the United States, but actually on his birthday in Croatia. He moved to the USA in 1967, and worked as an assembler for Sherwin-Williams, then retired from Macco Adhesives in 1997 after 25 years of service. Anton loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed fishing and feeding wildlife. He also loved football and the Cleveland Browns. Anton was an independent and strong-willed gentleman, but he was also generous and kind-hearted. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Anselm Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Anton at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY 4-7 PM.
