Anthony Tirabassi

ANTHONY J. “SONNY” TIRABASSI age 81, beloved husband for 51 years of Ann (nee Matusicky); loving father of Mina (partner Lisa Kin), Lisa Petronio (husband Michael), Anthony (Patricia Burian) and the late Flory; devoted grandfather of Nicholas (wife Katie), Maria, Alyssa, Joey, Caden and Olivia; cherished son of the late Anthony and Philomena Tirabassi; dearest brother of the late Dolores Bird (husband Tom); treasured brother-in-law of Ida Janik and the late Thomas Matusicky (wife Patricia); dear uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.

Anthony was born on September 15, 1935 in Cleveland and passed away on February 18, 2017. He was married to his wife Ann for 51 years and resided in Euclid. Anthony graduated from Collinwood High school and worked as a pipe fitter for NY Central Conrail. He will be remembered by high school friends as tutabelle and by all as a quiet, hot tempered and hardworking family man. Tony was generous, giving with a great sense of humor, an appreciation of fine art and reading. In addition he always enjoyed listening to live music accompanied by a well-crafted Manhattan or glass of wine. He will be truly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 24, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 10 AM with Military Honors to follow. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tony at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
