ANTHONY J. STANIC age 86, beloved husband for 59 years of Jeanne (nee Ropret); loving father of Michael J. (wife Sheryl), David W. (wife Cathy) and the late A. Mark; devoted grandfather of Amy Kuchenbecker (husband Bill), Mollie Hoar (husband Scott), Becky Stanic (Adam Cervenka), Samantha Phillips, Joseph, Patrick, and Ryan Stanic, Brandon and Dylan Wimbs, and great-grandfather of Harper and Frankie; cherished son of the late Anton and Josephine (nee Krizman); treasured brother of Donald; dearest brother-in-law of Frances Troha and Ann Sarley; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.
Tony was born April 28, 1929 in Cleveland and passed away January 10, 2016 in Euclid, where he has lived since 1963. Tony graduated from Benedictine High School in 1946 and attended Fenn College. He was a member of KSKJ and AMLA Lodges and Slovenian Home. Tony was a 1st LT in the 101st Airborne division of the US Army. He was in a barbershop quartet, “The Four Feathers,” and also enjoyed camping, button box and polkas. Tony got the most enjoyment in life from his wife and grandkids. He was hardworking, handsome and had a great sense of humor. Tony loved to mentor people and also loved to make them laugh with his jokes. He will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tony at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
