ANTHONY R. RUSSO, Jr. age 76, beloved husband for 48 years of Judith (nee Lapka); loving father of Michael (wife Athena), Philip and Peter; devoted grandfather of Christina; dearest brother of Antoinette Evans (husband Lawrence); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many.

Anthony was born on August 18, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on December 25, 2016. He was a resident of South Euclid and a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church for 43 years, previously residing in St. Louis, Missouri. Anthony was a member of the Teamsters and was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. He retired from the Plain Dealer after 31 years as a paper handler. Anthony enjoyed stamp collecting, swimming, gardening, traveling and loved college basketball. He will be remembered most as being very family oriented, Anthony was a good father and husband. He was giving, generous, a good listener and had a dry sense of humor. Anthony will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 11 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Anthony at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
