ANTHONY V. PETTINE, Sr., was born on February 2, 1929 in Cleveland, OH. He was a resident in the Woodland (Blue Rock) area of Cleveland before moving to Wickliffe 56 years ago. Mr. Pettine died Friday March 27, 2009 at Lake West Hospital.He was a retired proof-reader and printer from Judson Brooks Printing. Tony loved being with his grandchildren and spending time with his friends from the old neighborhood. He enjoyed playing cards and doing some fishing. His family describes him as being extremely generous, giving, and always hospitable in his home, and generally a big charmer. Tony is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.He is survived by his daughter Luann (John) Walsh of Cleveland, sons Anthony V. Jr. ‘Tony ‘ (Christopher Olszewski) of Willoughby, and Jon C. (Michelle) of Painesville Twp; grandchildren Marie (Derek) Wooden, James Laurie III, Amber (John) Sandy, and Jordan, Brianna, Emma, and Marlee Pettine; great-grandchildren Ashley, Bret, Taylor, Alyssa, Ava and Giovanni; and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.Tony re-joins his wife of 56 years, Christine (Teresi) who died just a few weeks earlier on March 3, 2009. His parents Alberto and Luisa, and sisters Annie Rosato and Yolanda Bell also predeceased him.
