ANTHONY VALENTINE PETO passed away suddenly on February 8, 2025, at age 41, beloved husband of Tonya (nee Rose); loving father of Anthony Valentine Jr. “AJ” and Louis Robert “Louie”; cherished son of Robert and Mary (nee David); dearest brother of Angela Valentina Bernholtz (husband Brock); devoted grandson of the late Louis and Carmen (nee Ferritto) Peto and Stanley and Agnes (nee Hanzl) David; treasured son-in-law of Mary (nee Baglash) & Coy Rose Jr. and brother-in-law of Stephanie Rose and Coy Rose III; admired nephew of Tammy & John Scalish, Stanley & Kathy David, Daniel & Judy David and Thomas David and great-nephew of Tony “Junior” Ferritto; dear cousin and friend of many; dear business partner of Steven Gesis and Vadim Kleyner. Survived by canine companion Napoleon “Boo”.

With profound sorrow and endless love, we celebrate the incredible life of Anthony V. Peto, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. A man of immense talent, fierce dedication, and a heart as big as his smile, Anthony’s presence was a gift to all who knew him.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 3, 1983, Anthony was a proud graduate of Mayfield High School’s Class of 2001. He participated in Harvard Law School’s Trade Union Program, a prestigious program focused on labor and leadership within the trade industry. Drawn to working with his hands and building something meaningful, he became a carpenter apprentice, joined the Carpenter’s Union, and later turned an idea into a thriving business—Sewer Cleaning Company—where he poured his passion, skill, and work ethic into every project. His company was more than just a business; it was a reflection of his commitment to excellence and his determination to create something lasting.

Yet, above all his accomplishments, Anthony’s greatest pride and purpose came from his family—especially his sons. His devotion to them was boundless. He loved taking AJ shooting and bow hunting at the hunt club, casting lines together on fishing trips, and sharing the traditions and passions that meant so much to him. He was also deeply devoted to his youngest, Louie, ensuring that both of his boys always felt his love and unwavering support.

Anthony’s love for family extended far beyond his role as a father—he was an incredibly devoted son. His bond with his parents was unbreakable. He spoke with both his mom and dad almost every single day, sharing life’s ups and downs, exchanging advice, and simply enjoying each other’s company. He and his parents were more than just family—they were best friends. Whether working alongside his dad, spending time together on countless outings, or calling just to check in, Anthony made sure they always knew how much he loved and appreciated them. His dedication to them was unwavering, and the love they shared was immeasurable.

Anthony was not only a devoted father and son but also a committed big brother. Ten and a half years older than his sister, Angela, he took on a fatherly role from the very beginning. As a teenager, he would wake up in the middle of the night to feed her, help care for her and be there for life’s big moments—like walking her in on her first day of school. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and countless memories. Anthony and Angela loved each other beyond words, and that love never wavered. She was always in his heart, and he is always in hers.

Anthony and his wife, Tonya, shared a bond that could never be broken—a love built on deep connection, laughter, and shared adventures. They were soulmates in every sense of the word. Their journey together took them across the world, including an unforgettable trip to South Africa with AJ, Anthony’s parents, his sister, brother-in-law, and two dear friends. That journey, filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, was a reflection of his love for exploration and the joy of experiencing life with the people he cherished most.

A true outdoorsman, Anthony felt most at home in nature—riding four-wheelers, tracking game, and finding peace in the great outdoors. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, a time that embodied everything he loved: family, laughter, and togetherness. He took great pride in deep-frying the turkey every year, turning the meal into an event filled with laughter, good food, and unforgettable memories.

Anthony had an endless circle of friends—because to him, everyone he met was a friend. His unwavering loyalty, quick wit, and selflessness left an impact on all who knew him. No matter what, he showed up for the people he loved, always putting others before himself and brightening even the darkest days with his humor, kindness, and unforgettable smile

Anthony’s passing on February 8, 2025, has left an indescribable void, but his spirit, his love, and his lessons will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His story is not one of loss, but of a life fully lived—a life filled with passion, devotion, and an unbreakable legacy.

Though he is gone too soon, his love remains, carried forward by his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched. We will cherish him always.
