Ann Marie Vene

ANN MARIE VENE (nee Kovach) age 96, beloved wife for 53 years of the late Victor F.; loving mother of Victor F. Jr (wife Joan Krause); devoted grandmother of Samantha Krause (husband Jason) and great-grandmother of Tyler; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Anna (nee Laurich) Kovach; dearest sister of Linda Balaban (husband Dennis) and the late Margarette Saletel (husband Edmund, deceased); dear aunt of Edmund (wife Judy), Diane (husband John), Scott (wife Rhonda), Heather (husband Bill), and Kevin (wife Megan), great-aunt of 16 and great-great aunt of 7 nieces and nephews.

Anna was born on November 6, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio. Strong in her faith and Slovenian heritage, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Collinwood. She also enjoyed cooking and baking Slovenian dishes and desserts, including her delicious Potica. Ann enjoyed gathering with her family and relished time spent listening and dancing to Polkas with her husband. On November 23, 2023, Anna passed away leaving her family thankful for the kind woman they had in their lives.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ann to the family.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ann Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 10AM – 12Noon at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91).

Prayers of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12 Noon at THE FUNERAL HOME.

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
