ANN ANKRUM (nee Thur) age 75, died on January 24, 2019 after years of struggling with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Robert Sr.; loving mother of Robert Jr. “Tom,” Christina Kimbrew (husband Arch, Jr), and Suzanne; devoted grandmother of Damein, Omar, Darrell, Ashley, Arch III, William, Olivia, Vanessa, Anthony, Arnel Jr., Michael, Robert III “Robbie” and great-grandmother of Davion, Armanii, William Jr., Da’Nyla, Damein Jr., Mackenzii, London, and Arnel III; cherished daughter of the late Adam Jr. and Mary (nee Chernesky) Thur; dearest sister of Adam III (wife Jean), George (wife Carol) and the late John (wife Charlene, deceased), and Rudolph Thur; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Ann was born on June 12, 1943 in Marstellar, PA. She was a resident Richmond Heights for over 45 years and a parishioner of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church for over 50 years. Ann proudly worked as a men’s clothing specialist at JCPenny for 35 years and as a Real Estate Agent at Century 21 Homes for 25 years. She loved making pierogis especially during lent, playing slot machines, and betting on horses in her free time. Ann enjoyed listening to Polka’s, and spending time with her children & grandchildren making memories. Some of her favorite memories are from hosting her annual Christmas Eve parties. Ann will be dearly missed by all.

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ann at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM. Parastas at 4:30 PM.
