Angelo Petronzio, Sr.

ANGELO A. PETRONZIO, SR. age 77, loving father of Denise Geisler (husband Douglas) and Angelo A. Jr.; devoted grandfather of Vincent, Gina and Grace and special “Nonno” to Mia Osborne; cherished son of the late Ambray Petronzio and Rose (nee Vienna) Derr; dearest brother of Carmella Calta; treasured cousin of the Vienna and Petronzio families; dear friend, brother and godfather. U.S. Navy Veteran.

Angelo was born on March 30, 1940 in Cleveland and passed away on July 2, 2017. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights, formerly of Chesterland and Highland Heights.  Angelo graduated from Mayfield High School in 1958, joined the Navy, then attended John Carroll University and Dyke College. He was a member of St. Paschal Baylon Church and of the Knights of Columbus.  At the time of his passing, Angelo worked for Coldwell Banker as a realtor.  His career included management positions at various companies and then as an entrepreneur launching his own businesses.  He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying a wonderful meal, playing cards and smoking a cigar with his friends.  Most of all, Angelo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be remembered as a loving man who would do anything for his friends and family.  He lived a life of integrity – honest, hard working and generous.  Angelo was known for his sense of humor and loved to make people laugh as he laughed along with them. Angelo will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11 AM at Church of the Holy Angels 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Private burial will take place at a later date at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Angelo at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
