Andrew Pozelnik

Andrew “Andy” Pozelnik age 68, beloved husband for 42 years of Carol Ann(nee Ivancic); cherished son of the late Edward and Mary (nee Leskovec); loving brother of Denise Schaefer (husband Michael) and Janet Rogers (husband Jerry dec) (Michael Distransky); treasured son-in-law of the late Frank and Mary (nee Luzar) Ivancic; brother-in-law of Amy and the late William Silsby and Christine and Edward Arvay; dear nephew, uncle and great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Andy was born on April 22, 1950 and passed away on July 4, 2018. He lived in Mentor with his wife Carol for the past 32 years. Andy was a parishioner of St Bede The Venerable Catholic Church since 1985 and was president of AMLA #59 Lodge. Andy graduated from St Jerome grade school in 1964 and St. Joseph High School in 1968. He attended Kent State. For 30 years, Andy worked as a copier technician. After his retirement, he worked for the Chardon City School system as a bus driver and truly loved his job. Andy loved playing baseball and softball, fishing, target shooting, flying his remote-control airplanes and was an incredible bowler. He was a devoted, lifelong Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs fan. Andy was a true hobbyist, a classic car enthusiast and loved to read. His sense of humor was like no other. Most of all, Andy loved his wife. He would do anything for her. Andy will be most remembered as outgoing, friendly, generous and giving. Andy will be missed dearly.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Bede The Venerable Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Andy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 & 5-7PM.
