It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew “Brian” Sworan. His life tragically ended late on March 16th, 2019. Brian, as many know him, was born on August 15, 1982, grew up on Mayfield Ridge Rd in Mayfield Hts, then on Ford Rd in Highland Hts. He graduated from Mayfield High School in 2000, then continued his studies at Bowling Green State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2005. He loved all sports, but especially baseball; playing his youth games in Highland Hts and Mayfield Hts parks; then high school baseball and in the competitive summer leagues. In college he played baseball and rugby. He also enjoyed camping, high adventure activities and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 461.
After graduating from BGSU, he met the love of his life while working at a temporary job before he started his career. Within a few years they were married, and were blessed with a daughter and son. At the same time, he started developing an insurance practice, providing services to commercial customers. Brian was an insurance consultant for ICG. He enjoyed baseball and was a fan of the Indians, Browns and Cavs. Brian enjoyed 80’s and 90’s music, was a baseball and stamp collector and loved finance and economics. He was outgoing, loyal, social, sensitive, funny, witty and loved his family. Brian was your best friend and a light in the room. He will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Brian to the Ann & Andrew College Scholarship Fund in care of Jane Sworan #3970 at any Huntington National Bank branch, or at the Funeral Home.
