Anastasia Stratigos Karides

ANASTASIA STRATIGOS KARIDES, aged 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 21, 2020.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, John, and leaves behind their loving sons and daughters-in law, Emmanuel (Linda), George (Georgia), Theodore (Kim), and William (Lisa), as well as her brother Niko Stratigos, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
Anastasia was born and grew up in Kythera, Greece. She emigrated to the United States to begin her married and family life in 1953.  She was very dedicated to her church and used her accomplished baking skills to benefit their many Festivals and Fundraisers, teaching the next generations along the way.
Visitation hour will be on Monday, October 26, from 10 – 11 AM, at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, with Funeral Liturgy following at 11 AM. Burial in Knollwood Cemetery. NOTE: Face masks and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland, OH, 44192; or to Sts.
