ANNA (nee Abina) BIZYAK

Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Bizyak, 93, will be on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon. Mrs. Bizyak died on Friday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in 1920 in Log, Slovenia and was a resident of Chardon after moving from Claridon Township 2 years ago.

A member of St. Lucy Church in Middlefield, she was also active in KSKJ – St. Joseph Lodge #169. Anna worked 10 years as a nursing aid for Care Corp. and enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers in her free time. She was passionate about caring for other people and volunteered at nursing homes. Many will fondly remember her as a generous, hard-working woman who loved children and never stopped giving to those in need.

She is survived by her daughters Margaret Svajger and Emily Blackburn (Bart) both of Chardon; grandchildren Mark (Holly) Svajger, Jennifer Svajger, Robert Brooks, and Ana and Katia Blackburn; brothers Ludvik, Stane and Ladi; sisters Pepca and Justi; and many other family members in Slovenia.

Mrs. Bizyak was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; parents Joseph and Ana (nee Bevc) Abina; brother Joze; and son-in-law George Svajger.
