AMANDA V. ZIPP (nee Perry) age 90, beloved mother of David Dozanti (wife Anita); devoted grandmother of Brigitte Frank and Jennifer Dozanti, and great-grandmother of Tyler Frank; dearest sister of Ernest Perry, Bonnie McDonald, Darla Johnson, and the late Chester Perry, Joseph Perry, Fran Odda, Gloria Adams, Florence Barr, and Laura Fritz; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Amanda was born and raised in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, one of ten children. She spent the last 20 years of her life living in Chardon, previously residing in Streetsboro. Amanda loved to play the piano and organ even though she couldn’t read music. She had the gift of playing by sound. She also loved cooking for her family. Sewing was one of her talents as well. She truly enjoyed RV trips, listening to Dean Martin, Andy Williams, and more recently Josh Groban. Spending time with family was her greatest joy, especially on holidays.
Amanda is described as feisty, great sense of humor, would do anything for you, and was not afraid to speak her mind. Her later years were challenging for all as her dementia progressively worsened. She is at peace now and will be dearly missed by those that loved her.
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Private family services were held.
