ALICE M. PONIKVAR (nee Kahn) age 86, was born on March 12, 1930 in Cleveland and passed away on October 26, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late William J.; loving mother of William J. Jr. (wife Theresa), Lynn M. Forbes (husband Melvin, IV), and Sandra A. Istok (husband Jan Edward); devoted grandmother of Becki Maas (husband Ryan), Kimberly Istok, Andrew Forbes, Ryan Ponikvar, Cheston Istok, Alex Ponikvar and great-grandmother of Emma and David Maas; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (nee Hlavin) Kahn; sister of Audrey Jackson.
Alice was a resident of Willoughby at Breckenridge Village for 6 years, formerly a resident of Willoughby Hills. She was a member of the North Coast Lions. Alice graduated from South High School in Cleveland and was a realtor for 46 years with Citie Realty in Wickliffe. She loved roller skating, quilting, sewing, and gardening. Alice especially enjoyed taking care of her African Violets. She will be remembered most as very social, kind, giving, generous and an excellent cook. Alice always included everyone and was very supportive. She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11 AM, at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD. (BETWEEN BISHOP RD AND RT. 91) WILLOUGHBY HILLS. Burial following at Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alice at the FUNERAL HOME TUESDAY MORNING 10-11 AM.
