Alice Ladd

ALICE P. LADD (nee Weeks), age 84; beloved wife of the late Norman; loving mother of Carolyn Ladd (husband William Mulert), Nancy DiVita, Jeffery (wife Beth); devoted grandmother of Alison Fecher (Leland), Eliza Mulert, Matthew (Meredith), Ryan (Lyndsey) and Andrew (Staci) DiVita and Erin Ladd and “GG” of Anderson, Harris and Jack; fond mother-in-law of Anthony DiVita; cherished daughter of the late Ellis and Pauline (nee Seaman) Weeks; dearest sister of Doris Baron (husband Robert, deceased), Miriam Pratt (husband Edward, deceased), Lois Krajcovic (husband Otto, deceased); Robert Weeks (wife Doris) and the late Harry Weeks (wife Claire, deceased) and Richard Weeks (wife Mary Alice, deceased); dear sister-in-law of Lorrene Shadley (husband John); treasured aunt and great-aunt of many.

Alice was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 50 years, previously living in Willowick.  She belonged to Mayfield United Methodist Church. Alice graduated from Cleveland Heights High School.  She enjoyed gardening, reading and watching Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football.  Alice loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Her family remembers her as being simple, reserved, and caring.  She also had a great sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on  Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.). Burial following at Acacia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alice at the FUNERAL HOME on TUESDAY MORNING from  10:00 to 11:00 AM.
