Alice Kozan

ALICE KOZAN (nee Kotwica) age 90, beloved wife for 67 years of the late Rudolph “Rudy”; loving mother of Rudy (wife Laureen), Karen Myers (husband Craig), Richard (wife Elizabeth), Craig (wife Judy), Kevin (wife Marie) and Michael (wife Susan); devoted grandmother of Shannon, Erin, Sarah, Jason, Christine, Kevin, Corey, Rudy, Caitlin, Emma, Gina, Daniel, Grace, Chad, David, Dana and great-grandmother of 13; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (nee Hanczuk) Kotwica; dearest sister of Joanne Hoffman (husband Rich) and the following deceased Walter, John, Irene and Marie; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Alice was born on September 12, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on March 8, 2022 with family by her side. She was an expert gardener of flowers and vegetables and encouraged her grandchildren to enjoy the outdoors and “play in the dirt”.  She also enjoyed trying new recipes and sharing the results. Alice loved her family and especially delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lovingly cared for and supported them in everything they did, and for this, she will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers and in support of Alice’s pride in her Polish heritage, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Casimir Catholic Church, 8223 Sowinski Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44103.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alice at the church from 10-11 AM. ARRANGEMENTS BY THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
