Alice Brandt

Alice C. Brandt, 97, passed away June 18, 2016 at Altercare of St. Joseph Community. She was born in East Cleveland, Ohio, November 30 1918 to the late Walter H. and Mary (nee Keegan) Brandt.  She was educated at St. Philomena and Sacred Heart.

Alice lived in East Cleveland until moving to Mayfield Heights in 1957. She was a member of St. Clare Church and St. Francis of Assisi Church. During the 1940’s , Alice worked for Parker Hannifin before working as an administrative assistant for Payne Weber, Jackson, and Curtis Brokerage until she retired in 1980. She then went to work for the Cleveland Institute of Music as a receptionist. A job that she enjoyed very much because of the students.

Alice is survived by her sister Mary Schaller (husband Edward) of Mayfield Heights and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Walter H. (wife Josephine) Brandt.

In her free time, Alice loved to knit. Her family described her as very private quiet person who was very good to her nieces and nephews.
