Alice T. Armstrong

ALICE T. ARMSTRONG (nee Tanno) age 85, beloved wife of the late Gerold; loving mother of Kelly, Ken (wife Dana) and the late Kevin; devoted grandmother of Ashley and Matthew; cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Sally (nee Pucel) Tanno; dear aunt, great-aunt and friend of many. 

Alice, known for being hardworking, spent many years with General Electric as a customer service representative where she retired. Following her deep faith, she dedicated time to ministries at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church as a funeral server, eucharistic minister, the Thea Bowman Center and ‘Hearts for Hunger’ food pantry. Alice also volunteered with the American Red Cross, the Hospice of the Western Reserve, the Twinsburg Library Resale Shop and other organizations and causes over the years. 

Alice was a nurturing mother and known for her great sense of humor. She was an avid reader, constantly seeking to learn and enjoyed water aerobics with a group of women she coined “The Aquanuts”. She was very creative and enjoyed various crafts, music, cooking and her travel adventures to London, Italy, Israel, Ireland and Hawaii. Above all though, Alice was lovingly devoted to her family, with special emphasis on her grandchildren. This thoughtful and caring woman passed away on January 2, 2025, leaving behind wonderful memories with all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Alice to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110. 

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 10419 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, OH at 11AM. Burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alice AT THE CHURCH WEDNESDAY MORNING 10-11AM. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND.
