Alexander Downs

ALEXANDER THAYER DOWNS age 21, beloved son of Douglas and Nancy (nee Hadam); loving grandson of Goldie (nee Klein) and the late Chester Hadam, George and Sally Downs; devoted nephew of Ronald M.D. and Kristi Hadam, Kenneth Hadam, Cynthia and Steven Van Pelt, and great nephew of Fuller and Mary Jane Downs; cherished cousin of Shelley, Betsy, Jessica, Lori, Lindsey, Chrissy and Erin; dearest friend of Julia Deems and many others.

Alex lived in Mayfield Heights all of his life. He participated in Science Olympiad and played goalie in Hockey at Mayfield Heights High School. Alex attended Cleveland State University and Lakeland Community College to complete his Associates Degree in Business Administration. After achieving his degree, Alex created his own E-Bay Business and was self-employed. Alex loved rugby and Jiu-Jitsu. He also liked to make soap from Beeswax, gathered from the Bee Hives in his yard. Alex loved challenges of all forms, he could fix just about any electronic device. Alex will be remembered as his own person and for how he valued his friends more than anything. He was a creative soul that loved to re-purpose many things.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alex at the FUNERAL HOME SATURDAY 12-3 PM.
