Albina Wiederwohl

ALBINA WIEDERWOHL (nee Hutter), age 94, passed away June 23, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born in Altlag Gottschee (formerly Yugoslavia) on March 1, 1921 to the late Frank and Maria (nee Kikel) Hutter. Albina immigrated to the United States in 1950 and lived in Cleveland before moving to Mayfield Village 40 years ago.

Albina was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she was a member of the Tuesday Intercessory prayer group. In addition, she made fried dough for many years at their annual festival. Albina was a member of the E.O.U.V. Ladies Auxiliary since 1951 where she was a past financial secretary. She operated her own housekeeping business and enjoyed time with her prayer group friends traveling. Albina loved to cook, and bake, and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes. Albina will be remembered as a prayerful, hardworking, easygoing, fun-loving woman with a big smile and joyful heart, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Albina was the beloved mother of Herman (wife Gail), Alfred (wife Pat-deceased) and Bernard; a devoted grandmother of Todd (wife Peg), Mark (deceased) (wife Amy); Brian (wife Chrissy), Mary Ellen (husband Joel Morris) and Karl (wife Alexandra) and great-grandmother of Micah, Isaiah, Caden, Zachary, Channing and Quinn.

Mrs. Wiederwohl is preceded in death by husband Karl who died in 1997; her brothers Alois, John, and Josef Hutter; sisters Mary Mosser, Sophie Hoge, Leopoldine Hutter, Helen Bartol and Ernastine Wiederwohl.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 29, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Albina at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-4 and 5-7 PM.
