Albert A. “Big Al” Lang, Jr. born July 29, 1945 in Cleveland. Al passed away May 18, 2015 in Concord at age 69. Beloved husband for 39 years of Marion F. (nee Komar); loving son of the late Albert, Sr. and Jeanne (nee Smith) Lang; devoted brother of William of Chardon, James (wife Donna) of FL and Thomas (wife Christine) of FL; cherished brother-in-law of Sr. Frances Helen Komar, O.S.U., Ann M. Lang and Anna Reilly; dear uncle and great uncle of many.
Al was a resident of Concord since 2001, previously of Chardon. He was a parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church. Al was a member of the Empty Nesters and the 50 + Club. He was a US Army Reserve Veteran. Al graduated from Chardon High School. He was a technician with Denora Tech Water Treatment. Al enjoyed camping, golf and fishing. He was a true Cleveland Sports fan and loved to watch the Indians, Cavaliers and Browns. Al will be remembered most as a congenial, outgoing, and helping man. He always gave his time and was everyone’s friend. Al loved dogs, especially his special K-9 friend Pearle.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church 401 North Street, Chardon at 10 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Al at THE DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
