Alan Flaisman

ALAN E. FLAISMAN age 73, beloved father of Alan J. (wife Stacy), Gregory R. (Dolores Evans) and Tiffany J. Singer (husband Justin); loving grandfather of Mackenzie and Cole Sundquist, Alyssa and Justin Flaisman; cherished son of the late Albin and Josephine (nee Mihevc) Flaisman; dearest brother of Alana Wallin (husband Robert) and Aldon Flaisman; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Alan was born August 19, 1942 in Cleveland and passed away October 3, 2015 in Parma, where he has lived since 1999. Al graduated from Mayfield High School in 1960 and then from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor’s in Economics. He minored in Banking & Finance and Geology while at Case. Al used his degree as an Investment Agent and also as a former President of Cleveland Natural History Museum Gemological Society. He enjoyed buying and selling gemstones and stocks, camping and archery. Al was a former member of the Geauga Bowman Archery Club. He especially enjoyed rafting on the Cuyahoga River with family and friends. Al will be remembered as a hard-working, determined (but never stubborn), intelligent man.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Vitus Catholic Church 6019 Lausche Rd Cleveland, 44103 at 10 AM. Burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Al at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
