Adin Moore

Adin B. “A.B.” Moore Jr., 85, a 45-year resident of Willoughby Hills, passed away Jan. 3, 2014, at Hillcrest Hospital. Mr. Moore was born June 23, 1928, in Memphis, Tenn.

He was employed as a productions supervisor for General Motors, retiring from Fisher Body Euclid Plant. A.B. was a member of Holden Arboretum, Little Red School House, Yankee Air Force and Lake County Historical Society. His hobbies included sailing, nautical antique refinishing and reading.

Survivors are his sons, Gary (Sue), Bruce (Deborah), Kent (Barbara) and Keith; three grandchildren; brother, Dave (Bonnie) Moore; and his beloved and cherished companion, Beverly J. O’Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adin B. and Evelyn (nee Law) Moore.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Route 91). Burial will be at Kirtland South Cemetery in Kirtland.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.The family suggests contributions may be made in Adin’s memory to St. Jude Chlidren’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564-E Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
